Hi Kathmandu Baby, Allie here.

OMG what are those people feeding you, you've doubled your size and then some since I last saw you.!! Only joking. I was pretty rubbish and didn't get to your house before you left, so I haven't seen you for weeks!!

You're looking pretty darn cute and chilled there in your rapid transfer vehicle....and may I say, I'm feeling that shirt.

Sounds like you had a very pleasant journey, fed, pampered and carried around everywhere....ahh the life of an international baby....your mother's journey sounds not so good!

The weather's been rather lovely in London for the last week or so, sadly I've been working non-stop so haven't really enjoyed the benefits of endless sunshine. Having said that I dare say neither the weather or my full diary are likely to last for long!

So what does a hip baby about town do for excitement in Kathmandu? Clubbing ? Hitting the bars? or just chillin' with the olds ? Hope you're settling into the appartment, you must send me your address. I've got a few pressies for you and a belated birthday pressie for your mum.
Anyway baby, say hi to your parents and tell your mum I'll be in touch again soon.

Take care and keep smiling.

In the Times on Saturday (and linked with the Falklands 25th Aniversary celebrations in England - which of course featured the Gurkas).
The British Army is to allow Women to join the Gurkas from next year. More than 300 have applied and are now in the selection process. Apparently their pay in the army will be 30 times more than if they stayed in Nepal and did a good job in commerce (for example). Why not set up a sponsorship or 'adoption' scheme, whereby these comparatively highly paid Nepalese Soldiers can help the likes of Devi ? Love Dad XX
